about

This time we present you an unusual collaboration with the Norwegian indie post-rock psychedelic artist 'ExorZm' (@ExorZm on twitter). We decided to cover the song of the country star Hank Williams, a classic of Americana folk 'I'm so lonely I could cry'.

Since the beginning of their career on the social media world, Frankie&RikiAbi could always count on the presence, support and friendship of ExorZm even if their musical worlds are apparently far.

Not many know that RikiAbi also had an active background in popular country music...

One day ExorZm posted a short video on IG where he was playing this song on the Ukulele and RikiAbi was pleasurably surprised and replied: Hey I used to cover that too many years ago! let's do a version together!

Age and maturity, the new experiences on the electronic front, and the help of Frankie did the rest.
Maybe Hank Williams would make it like this if he was born in these times.

A gloomy dark ambient drone with a synth rebellion at the center and a sneaky waltz rhythm through the synths and the Ukulele all over the track

lyrics

Hear that lonesome whippoorwill
He sounds too blue to fly
The midnight train is whining low
I'm so lonesome I could cry

I've never seen a night so long
When time goes crawling by
The moon just went behind the clouds
To hide its face and cry

Did you ever see a robin weep
When leaves began to die?
Like me, he's lost the will to live
I'm so lonesome I could cry

The silence of a falling star
Lights up a purple sky
And as I wonder where you are
I'm so lonesome I could cry

Have you ever....

Have you ever....

Did you ever see a robin weep
He sounds too blue
to fly
